Annual General Meeting of Serdang Rhythmic Angels

Dear all,

Our club's 2012/2013 Annual General Meeting will be held on this coming Saturday, the 3rd of November, 12.30 pm at SJK ( C ) Serdang Baru 2.

Among the issues that will be discussed are the ammendments of the constitutions, discussions about the training structure and training fees and of course the election of the committee.

Only members of Serdang Rhythmic Angels are able to attend the meeting and vote. Please refer to the coaches and other registered parents for the registration form.

This is a chance for the coaches and parents to get to know more about our club, voice out any of your concerns as well as to be part of the club's development and success.

Your cooperation and attendance will be very much appreciated.

Alice Masdewi Cheah

Our very own Alice Masdewi Cheah, who performed extemely well during the Zhong Ling Cup in China a month ago was also the overall champion for the Junior B category during the 2012 Angel Cup International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament.

Team Competing in Seoul, Korea

Come Wednesday, a team of six from Serdang Rhythmic Angels will be leaving for Seoul, Korea for 6th Gimpo City Mayor's Cup International Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition organise by Gimpo City RG. The competition will run from the 31st of Sugust to the 1st of September.

Report on Angel Cup 2012

Angel Cup 2012, the premier inter-club competition in Southeast Asia, has successfully ended, with most of the teams back at their own countries with the exceptions of a few teams who are competing at the Synergy Cup held at Gymnasium 1 over this weekend.

The standard of the competition is clearly getting better year by year.  In fact, we have received really good response from the participating teams and we can't wait for a bigger and better edition of this tournament in 2 years time. Serdang Rhythmic Angels has again proved their worth in organising a quality international competition. It is not only a platform for grassroot development in Malaysia but also a showcase of the talent of future stars!

A big thank you to all participating teams, Mdm Kok Mong Lin, Mdm Teh Lah Hoong, judges, coaches, volunteers, parents, gymnasts and supporters who have given their all to make all this come true. We have done it again!

Looking for Sponsors for 2012 Angel Cup

As 12 teams from 9 foreign teams have confirmed their attendance for our 5^th edition of the Angel Cup International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament, we are still open for companies, groups or individuals who are interested to be part of our event as sponsors.

Over the years, we have seen Serdang Rhythmic Angels’ Angel Cup grown from four-team tournament to a twelve-team fight.  In fact, the results speak for itself.

Jamie Lee Yoke Jeng, winner of the Junior category in our first edition of the Angel Cup was part of the gold medal winning team in the 2007 Sea Games in Korat, Thailand.  She is currently a coach at Serdang Rhythmic Angels’ centre in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.

Elaine Koon, the winner of the Pre-Junior category in the 2004 Angel Cup and subsequently the Junior category in the 2006 Angel Cup went on to win 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India, becoming the pride of Malaysia.

Son Yeon-Jae, the South Korean who won the Junior category during the 2008 Angel Cup was the bronze medal winner of the 2010 Asian Games and is now ranked fifth in the world (based in FIG statistics).  She is definitely one of the medal contenders of the coming 2012 London Olympics.

Veronica Au Wei Ran, the 2010 Angel Cup Junior category overall champion has gone on to win many local and international tournaments, showcasing unique skills and original routines.  She is currently representing Malaysia in the Asean Schools Championship in Surabaya, Indonesia.  We are all wishing her the best of luck and hoping that she succeed in the regional tournament!

5th Angel Cup is A Month Away

Time really flies.  In less than a month, from the 3^rd to 5^th of August, Serdang Rhythmic Angels will be the organiser of the 5^th Angel Cup International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament.  We are proud to be the host of the 12 foreign teams from 9 foreign countries from Asia and Europe, with Indonesia and China yet to confirm their participation.  So far, the confirmed teams are from Thailand, Taiwan, New Zealand, Japan, Holland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippine, Korea and of course Malaysia.  Apart from that, we are expecting many more local teams for the Little Angels Gala.
