As 12 teams from 9 foreign teams
have confirmed their attendance for our 5th edition of the Angel Cup
International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament, we are still open for companies,
groups or individuals who are interested to be part of our event as sponsors.
Over the years, we have seen
Serdang Rhythmic Angels’ Angel Cup grown from four-team tournament to a
twelve-team fight. In fact, the results
speak for itself.
Jamie Lee Yoke Jeng, winner of
the Junior category in our first edition of the Angel Cup was part of the gold
medal winning team in the 2007 Sea Games in Korat, Thailand. She is currently a coach at Serdang Rhythmic
Angels’ centre in Seri Kembangan, Selangor.
Elaine Koon, the winner of the
Pre-Junior category in the 2004 Angel Cup and subsequently the Junior category
in the 2006 Angel Cup went on to win 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal
in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, India, becoming the pride of
Malaysia.
Son Yeon-Jae, the South Korean who won the Junior
category during the 2008 Angel Cup was the bronze medal winner of the 2010
Asian Games and is now ranked fifth in the world (based in FIG statistics). She is definitely one of the medal
contenders of the coming 2012 London Olympics.
Veronica Au Wei Ran, the 2010
Angel Cup Junior category overall champion has gone on to win many local and
international tournaments, showcasing unique skills and original routines. She is currently representing Malaysia in the
Asean Schools Championship in Surabaya, Indonesia. We are all wishing her the best of luck and
hoping that she succeed in the regional tournament!
